Servings: 1.5 cup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree homemade or canned
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring regularly.
  3. Once it begins to bubble, reduce heat and simmer for about 8–10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth for a smooth texture (optional).
  6. Let it cool, then transfer to a clean bottle or jar.
  7. Store in the fridge for up to 10 days.

Notes

- Use it in your homemade pumpkin spice latte, drizzle over pancakes, stir into oatmeal, or blend it into smoothies.
- Strain while still warm for the smoothest results.
